The trek

Short trek, life-lasting memories

If you have just a few days but want the real Himalayas, this is it. The Poon Hill Trek is among the top five treks in Nepal — five days through the magnificent Annapurna Region, sleeping in traditional Nepali teahouses and walking among the Gurung and Magar communities.

You’ll climb through rhododendron and oak forest, cross rushing streams on suspension bridges, taste oranges straight from village orchards, and — the heart of it all — stand on Poon Hill before dawn to watch the sun set fire to Annapurna and the great fish-tail peak of Machhapuchhre.

“The friendly locals, their warm hospitality and the natural beauty of the Annapurnas — this is the trek that makes people fall in love with Nepal.”
